CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS:
PART-TIME SALES ASSOCIATE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized salesclerk. In this position, you will play a key role in driving sales by engaging visitors and assisting in selecting and handling customer purchases. You will also operate a cash register, keep the store tidy, and restock merchandise. Spanish speakers are a plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greeting customers as they enter the store
• Working at the point-of-sale counter to process transactions
• Assisting customers in locating products by going through the inventory
• Calling other store locations to find items that are not available in the store based on customer requests
• Suggesting new items to customers based on their selections
• Entering sales data and customer data into the company database
• Keeping records of special orders
• Monitoring the merchandise and notifying a superior when items need to be restocked
• Arranging items such as special sale items to engage customers
• Building customer relationships
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Customer service: Create a welcoming atmosphere in the store and proactively help customers to find what they are looking for.
• Computer/ Accounting skills: Use a cash register to process sales and computer programs to provide customer service.
• Time management: You may need to handle multiple customers during periods with a high level of in-store traffic.
• Communication skills: Good verbal communication skills are essential for this job.
• Data entry: Type quickly, enter accurate information into computers, verify sales data and edit data inputs so that we can keep track of sales and customer data.
